Peppermint is a refreshing perennial herb known for its scent and culinary versatility. It forms a lush green mat of aromatic leaves and produces small spikes of pale purple to white flowers in mid to late summer. This plant thrives in moist, well-drained soil. As with any mint, it’s best to plant in a container to control spread. If planted in-ground, it will take over the area.

Peppermint may die back in the extreme heat of our summers but will return when weather cools some.
