Saponaria ocymoides
You will receive 1 plant in a 2.5″ container similar to what is shown in the pictures. Mature plants are also pictured.
Rock soapwort is a mat-forming semi-evergreen perennial that creates a carpet of vibrant pink flowers in late spring to early summer. Its low-growing, trailing habit makes it ideal for rock gardens, stone walls, slopes, and container edges. Non-invasive – does not spread via rhizomes (unlike its relative, Saponaria officinalis). One of my favorite springtime plants!
Mature Size: 6–9″ tall (sometimes up to 12″) with a spreading or trailing width of 12–24″
Sunlight: full sun but will tolerate light afternoon shade in hot climated
Hardiness: Zones 2-9
