Echeveria ‘Giant Blue’

You will receive one plant in a 2.5″ container, similar to those in the photo.

This succulent forms large, impressive rosettes of ruffled, powdery grey-blue leaves with deeper tones as it matures. This variety develops a tall stem over time as lower leaves drop, making it perfect for containers, rock gardens, or as a focal point in succulent arrangements.  In spring to summer, it sends up tall stalks of delicate bell-shaped pink to orange flowers that add extra charm and attract pollinators.  Like most echeverias, it requires excellent drainage to prevent rot.  From experience, this one tolerates more rain than most I’ve grown.  I kept one alive for 3 years (mature plant pictured) in my unheated greenhouse, moving it to my garage only on nights that dipped below 30 F.

Mature size: 12-18″ tall x 12-18″ wide
Light: Full sun to bright partial shade
Hardiness: Zones 9-11 (grown as an annual, see my note in the description)
