Pineapple sage a fragrant tender perennial herb with bright green leaves that release a sweet pineapple scent when crushed. This fast-growing plant produces striking tubular red flowers in late summer to fall that are highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. It thrives in moist, well-draining, rich soil with regular watering to prevent wilting or leaf drop, and benefits from pinching when young to encourage bushier growth. I have mine planted in partial shade this year, and it is currently thriving!
